Red dot sight is a gun accessory. It is used for aiming target, and used in police and military firearm applications. They are also used in other devices like cameras and telescope. While choosing the correct optics depends on two things. One is size of the dot. And the other is shape of it. If dot of the optic is too small, you will not quickly aim the target. On the other hand, if the dot is too large, it will obscure the target. So, select one with optimum size and shape.

The second thing come into consideration is weight of the optics. Select an optic that is lightweight.  Battery life is another good consideration.  Red dot sight with short battery life will limit the functionality of the device.  Other things come into play are durability are design.
